About Us
Meet the co-founders! Michela Williams and Tony Heard both have a few years of experience working under the department of agriculture. Both recently found a love for the outdoors and they are ready to introduce the black community to the natural world in a new way!
Tony Heard has a background in wild land firefighting and trail maintenance. He spent a year on a SAWS crew helping clean up dispersed campsites and maintaining the beautiful trails along the east coast. After that season he went to California to help fight wild land forest fires. Tony enjoys hiking on the weekends and filming. “I want my films to be able to touch the viewers in a way that inspires them.” -Tony Heard
Michela has a background in environmental education and coordinating outdoor events. She interned with Greening Youth Foundation for 2 and 1/2 years as a Partnership Coordinator for the Georgia Mountains Children’s Forest Network where she outreached to over 30,000 students. She volunteers with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and loves to hike new trails. “I’m still in shock and awe about where my life has taken me.” - Michela Williams
